Your mission

Your mission would be to lead the creation of exceptional, user-centered digital experiences that align with Displate’s unique brand and business goals. Your role would focus on crafting a design vision that enhances user engagement, guides a talented team of designers, and fosters collaboration across functions to deliver intuitive, high-quality digital products that elevate the Displate customer experience.

Your responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive design vision that aligns with overarching business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Spearhead the digital product design strategy, ensuring it supports both short-term and long-term business priorities.
  • Oversee the complete design lifecycle, from initial concept through final execution, ensuring a seamless and integrated process.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to ensure design efforts are fully aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-centered designs that meet both functional requirements and aesthetic standards.
  • Drive the standardization and scalability of design systems across the organization, promoting consistency and efficiency.
  • Lead user research initiatives to gather insights and data that inform design decisions and enhance user experience.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the design team, fostering an environment of growth and innovation.
  • Present design strategies and key initiatives to senior leadership, ensuring alignment and securing buy-in at the executive level.
  • Manage relationships with external design agencies and third-party resources, ensuring they align with internal design standards and business needs.
  • Oversee the design budget and manage resource allocation, ensuring optimal use of resources to support design objectives.
Your skills & experience
  • Commercial fluency.
  • Proficient in creating comprehensive metrics systems for multiple products, consumer journeys, and teams. Ability to link design and commercial metrics and effectively communicate insights to peers.
  • Leadership and community building.
  • Capable of managing a team of designers across multiple product teams and fostering strong connections between the design team and other departments.
  • General management.
  • Experienced in the basics of running a large department, including hiring, firing, team prioritization, allocation, and budgeting.
  • Compelling communication skills.
  • Proficient in convincing others of the value of design ideas both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrable design talent.
  • Proven design ability with a strong portfolio of launched projects and products.
  • Experience with 3+ organizations is preferred.
  • Takes a collaborative approach to understand organizational challenges and believes in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust.
  • Deeply interested in how users experience products and services, with a strong desire to improve those experiences.
  • Possesses significant drive to elevate the role of design within the organization.
