The Junior E-Commerce Content Specialist is responsible for the validation and moderation of artworks submitted by artists to the Displate marketplace. This role ensures that all published content meets Displate’s Internal Content Policies and Requirements, while maintaining Displate’s quality, brand safety, and commercial standards. The position plays a key role in safeguarding the platform from legal risk and ensuring a consistent, trustworthy experience for customers, artists, and brand partners.
Artwork Validation & Marketplace Compliance
· Review and validate artist-submitted artworks prior to publication on the marketplace.
· Ensure artworks comply with Displate’s content policies and internal IP policies.
· Identify potential issues with artworks:
o Print quality in production and it meets our requirement standards
o Presence of visual elements requiring additional review from a compliance or policy perspective.
o Content falling under restricted categories
· Apply moderation decisions consistently and in line with established guidelines.
· Analysis and testing of various artworks based on requirements basis
· Decision making on various artworks based on feedbacks from customers
Content Quality & Accuracy
· Validate artwork titles, descriptions, and metadata for accuracy, relevance, and compliance.
· Ensure alignment between visual content and written descriptions.
· Flag misleading, incomplete, or policy-inconsistent information.
Policy Enforcement & Risk Assessment
· Apply Displate’s content, brand, and compliance policies to all submissions.
· Assess legal and reputational risk associated with artwork publication.
· Escalate complex, high-risk, or unclear cases to senior team members when required.
· Support enforcement actions such as rejections, removals, or artist warnings in line with policy.
Documentation & Reporting
· Accurately document validation decisions, actions taken, and rationale in internal systems.
· Maintain records to support audits, appeals, and historical case reviews.
· Contribute to improving internal documentation, guidelines, and validation workflows.
· Bachelor’s degree (or ongoing studies) in Law, Arts, Design, Media Studies, Communication, or a related field. (Good to have)
· Previous experience in:
· Content moderation or validation
· E-commerce or marketplace operations
· Trust & Safety, Compliance, or Brand Protection roles
· Strong awareness of global pop culture, including entertainment, sports, gaming, brands, and digital trends. (Must Have)
· High attention to detail with the ability to assess visual and textual content critically.
· Strong written communication skills in English.
· Ability to follow structured processes, guidelines, and compliance frameworks.
· Proficiency with digital tools, spreadsheets, and content management systems.
