Displate at QuakeCon 2024

QuakeCon 2024 was nothing short of spectacular, drawing in over 3,000 in-person attendees and another 4,000 viewers online for key announcements. The energy was palpable, and the passion for all things Bethesda was on full display throughout the four-day event. Among the highlights was the presence of Displate in the merch shop, where we made a notable impact despite not actually selling our products.

While Displate was only featured and not available for purchase, our brand still captured significant attention. Attendees couldn’t resist picking up our Displates, holding onto them as they browsed the rest of the merchandise. This simple act spoke volumes about the strong brand recognition we’ve built within this community.

Throughout the event, Parker Billings Social Media, Community, & Partnerships at Displate, spent much of his time engaging with attendees, spreading the word about Displate. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Nearly everyone he spoke with had heard of Displate, and many were genuinely excited to learn more about our products. 'From the moment I arrived, people were stopping me to ask about Displate, recognizing the brand from my shirt and the Displate I was carrying. It was clear that our social media efforts and online ads have made a significant impact on this audience!'

What stood out to Parker most was the sheer loyalty and affinity QuakeCon attendees have for Bethesda. This event may be smaller in scale compared to other conventions, but the dedication of the fans was undeniable. Parker took advantage of this by connecting with some of the biggest fans with the most dedicated setups, turning their passion for Bethesda into excitement for Displate.

QuakeCon may no longer be the massive event it once was, but it has transformed into a core event for Bethesda and its fanbase. This presents a unique opportunity for Displate to further establish itself within this space. As he observed other vendors, particularly rivals in the "Partner" section, it was clear they didn’t fully capitalize on the Bethesda hype. Without the same level of brand recognition or licensing, they missed out on a huge opportunity—one that Displate is perfectly positioned to seize in the future.

Our presence at QuakeCon allowed us to build genuine connections with a dedicated audience. Our company is on the right path, at least with Bethesda fans. QuakeCon has proven itself as a fertile ground for Displate, and with the right strategy, we can turn this enthusiasm into even greater success!
