Displate's new production site has opened in a high-tech factory complex right in the heart of Łódź. Located on Duńska street, the newly opened facility occupies a space of 13,500 sqm and holds state-of-the-art metal processing equipment as well as custom designed printers used in creation of 3D designs, pigment prints on metal, and unique print enhancements for the Limited and Ultra Limited Edition Displates. Aside from the production and distribution teams, Łódź will also be a new home for Displate's R&D department which focuses on improving our metal posters and developing concepts for new products.
We are glad that Displate, one of the largest Polish companies, has decided to locate its new investment in Łódź, a city that offers both space and opportunities to combine art and business. Local video game enthusiasts have already had a chance to get to know Displate back in August last year during Displate Meet at Rift, the first-ever Polish festival dedicated to Riot Games, which was organized in EC1 in Łódź. Welcoming Displate in our city, we also keep in mind the company's environmental activities, which are close to Łódź's own values. Displate plants a tree for every poster sold, so perhaps in the future it will also join us in co-creating the city's green spaces. In the meantime, we keep our fingers for the continuation of Displate's spectacular growth, and we hope that local students and graduates, as well everyone in Łódź who's passionate about video games, comic books, or TV series will all benefit from this collaboration.
Adam Pustelnik, the Vice President of Łódź.
As part of the new production site's opening, together with the Vice President of Łódź we revealed a special metal poster, designed with the city in mind. The original artwork was created by Justyna Olejniczak, a graphic designer at Displate. Starting today, this unique Łódź metal poster will become one of the official gifts presented by the city's municipal office. Spreading Displate love already! We are excited for our new chapter in Łódź and looking forward to more joint collaborative events and initiatives in the future.
