Once again, we’re starting the year with the conference for developers, by developers: GDC. In 2026, attendees can expect around 30,000 visitors, 400 exhibitors, and 700 sessions, spread across five packed days of inspiration and collaboration. This year also introduces the new Festival of Gaming format, bringing together developers, creators, and fans in a more immersive, community-driven experience.
Highlights include talks like “The Art of AI Companions: Building Emotionally Intelligent NPCs” at the Game AI Summit and “Physics, Pixels & Play: Engineering the Impossible Worlds of Starfield 2” at the Future Tech Summit — a perfect mix of art, tech, and storytelling at its best.
PAX East & PAX West 2026
PAX East: March 26–29, 2026 (Boston, MA, USA)
PAX West: September 4–7, 2026 (Seattle, WA, USA)

2026 marks PAX’s 22nd year, and organizers are teasing expanded cosplay championships and a new “Retro Rewind” arcade hall for fans of ‘80s and ‘90s classics.
